About the Program
The Markham Soccer Club has Recreational All-Star teams for most of its house league divisions from U7 to U19. An All-Star Team is drawn from players currently registered in the Club’s house league divisions, usually for the purpose of competing in Recreational All-Star tournaments or the York Region Soccer League SELECT divisions.
The Club’s objectives in running all-star teams are to provide an increased level of competition over that of house league play for some of the more skilled and dedicated players and to help prepare future rep players.
Try-outs for All-Star teams are usually held in the spring, after the competitive (rep) team try-outs, and will be announced on the Club’s website.
The Club is in the process of forming All-Star teams from the house league players. Teams do not have to align with H/L divisions – that is, the H/L U12s could provide players for both a U11 and a U12 All-Star team.
Coaches of these teams do not necessarily have to be H/L team coaches. Any and all people interested in coaching or managing teams are welcome. Please contact

ALL-STAR/SELECT PROGRAMS - For the 2012 summer season, our all-star or select programs will begin tryouts in early May. Decisions on which teams will be available in our All-Star/Select program will be published on the website by mid-April, with tryout schedules.
