April 13,2012: All Referees intending to Referee with Markham Soccer during the 2012 season are required to attend one of our information sessions. Both sessions will be held at the Centennial Community Centre in the Penalty Box lounge from 8pm-9:30pm. Please select one of the days and email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Attention Girls who wish to take the Entry Level Course! The OSA is hosting an all Female Entry Level Referee course on May 26th and 27th at the OSA Centre. To register for this course please go to the Ref Centre and search under "OSA" for the clinic.
February 9, 2012: Referee courses now open for Registration. Please note that if you are a Mini Referee who is 12 or 13 years old as of March 31, 2012 you are required to take the course again in 2012 in order to maintain your certification.
Mini Soccer Referee for those 12 or 13 years old as of March 31, 2012. The Preparation classes will begin on Friday February 24th, 2012 and run March 8, 22, & 28. from 6:45PM -7:45pm. All classes will take place in the "Pool Room" located in Centennial Community Centre. Referees should plan to attend all sessions.
The two separate Mini Referee certification courses will take place on Sunday April 1st or Sunday April 15, 2012. Referees attend only one certification course date and can pick the date that best fits their schedule. The certification course is held at the Mt. Joy facility from 9 am to 3 pm. The cost for registration is $30.00 per Referee. The club will reimburse this cost in the Fall 2012 if the referee officiates a minimum of 8 games for the Markham Soccer Club in 2012.
Referees must register online, which at the same time will create a Referee profile which will be used to assign games if they pass the course. Once in the online system please be sure to check off the "official box." Please note that Markham Resident applicants will be given priority for registration for the course.

The Entry Level Referee certification course will take place on April 21 and 22, 2012. Referees must attend both days. The certification course is held at the Mt. Joy facility from 8:30AM am to 5 pm. The cost for registration is $60.00 per Referee. The club will reimburse this cost in the Fall 2012 if the referee officiates a minimum of 6 games for the Markham Soccer Club in 2012.
